Hyperlite Parks Biolite2 Wakeboard
If explosive pop is everything, the Parks Biolite 2 wakeboard is all that matters. No other Hyperlite board in 2005 will give you more abrupt elevation potential off a wake. Period. The Parks Biolite 2 also ranks among the best designs for smooth transitions and incredible edge control, so if you're looking for a pro board for serious wakeboarding competition, this should be your top choice. The ultra-abrupt three stage rocker is the best ever developed for a Hyperlite board--the Parks Biolite 2 elevates like no other. But unlike other boards with big pop, the Park Biolite 2 features a deeper center beam and a full tip and tail profile that gives you a better chance than most at stomping the landings. It's an ideal blend of aggressive power and enhanced stability that serious wakeboarders will appreciate. Hyperlite Motive Wakeboard with Foundation Boots
While the Hyperlite Motive Wakeboard has undergone considerable revisions since Shaun Murray developed the original years ago, this versatile and stable board is still our favorite pick for a range of riders and families who share one board. This season we paired the freeride board with Hyperlite's Foundation boots, an easy-entry and simplified design that makes it easy for new wakeboard riders to remain focused on learning fundamentals. This season's incarnation of the Motive Wakeboard features a new Bio2 Core and monocoque construction, but you'll still find the same stable outer fins that appeal to beginners and those incredible molded-in fins that deliver strong rails into the kicker for advanced riders. Hyperlite retained the Motive's smooth turning, smooth rocker line characteristics that matter to freeride enthusiasts. The flight off the wake is smooth and long, resulting in a more controllable ride and landing than some explosive boards like the Parks and Byerly. A V-bottom tunnel generates exceptional water flow beneath the wakeboard, improving traction and confidence-inspiring stability on challenging landings. The Hyperlite Foundation Boot offers almost all of the same features found in the Hyperlite's versatile and adjustable State Boot, but the toe area is neoprene instead of EVA (there is still EVA in the heel of the Foundation Boot). This is a utility boot that works well with a range of rider abilities and foot sizes on one wakeboard. The Foundation Wakeboard Boot features a quick cinch front lace system and flex zone overlays that are cut to flex where riders need it. This season Hyperlite optimized the fit with narrower heel hardware and a more orthotic footpad. The Foundation Wakeboard Boot also has Hyperlite's new Claw/Plate, a design with better pronounced teeth that keep a grip even when the bolt begins to loosen. Hyperlite Roam Wakeboard
If you're a snowboarder looking for a short learning curve and a smooth transition into wakeboarding, Hyperlite's Roam Wakeboard is your ride for the summer. Unlike traditional wakeboards that use molded fins, the Roam has a flat base. Essentially it's what Hyperlite calls a "flexboard"--you bend your knees and use the board edges to set your turns. This innovative approach to riding is also great for wakeboarders who are seeking riding diversity with great rail-riding potential. Hyperlite designed the Roam with a flexible E-core construction designed with nylon to let you flex the toeside edge differently from the heelside edge. This creates an effective edge along the Roam that emulates snowboard characteristics on the water. Despite the obvious differences between the Roam and other wakeboards, Hyperlite dedicated the exemplary attention to detail in the construction. Like Hyperlite's best wakeboards, the Roam features a layered glass construction that doesn't use woven glass fibers. That's because woven glass fibers tend to separate over several seasons, reducing a wakeboard's lively snap. The Roam also has the jib-friendly ABS sidewall construction also found in Hyperlite's Premier and Murray Series. What's completely different is at the core--a 100% wood core design that effectively emulates the same torsional flex found on snowboards. Hyperlite Phriction Wakeskate
Great for wakeskaters on a budget, the Hyperlite Phriction Wakeskate features the same performance profile found on the Byerly Wakeskate model, but at a price that won't leave you seeking extra sponsors. It's a traditional skate-style profile with a concave kicktail variation. Unlike the high-end stuff, the Phriction Wakeskate also comes in three lengths (the Hyperlite Byerly Wakeskate is a single length, but the 8-lb. weight is dispersed to key performance areas). The Phriction's shape is the same, but it's a wood/hard durometer EVA variation that's laminated with nine layers of Canadian maple wood and topped with foam. If you're already familiar with last year's Hyperlite Phriction Wakeskate, you'll want to know that this year's ride offers a harder edging shape--but the exceptional value remains the same.

Hyperlite Broadcast Wakeboard
Developed with traditional wakeboard styling that sits lower in the water than standard wake surfboards, the Hyperlite Broadcast is an advanced platform for aggressive riders. The Broadcast's fast rocker enhances the performance while the low profile provides amazing edging control, making this wake surfboard ideal for surfers who ride with their weight centered on their boards and like to slash through the bottom turn. If you have a need for speed and knifing potential, the Hyperlite Broadcast is a great design. Just remember that surfing behind a boat has inherent risks and that you should remain aware of your proximity to the boat's stern.
