From Hesperia, take Hwy 138 to the main Silverwood Lake entrance (Cleghorn Rd.) and exit here. Make a right onto Cleghorn Rd. Follow the road (which turns into a dirt rd in a little ways) a few miles back into the mountain. Park when the forest starts getting thick. |

Continue up the road, walking from where you park. Walk through a fairly dense forest of Sugar Pine and enjoy. |

There were quite a few patches of snow out on this road on this day. We were walking along and there was an unlocked truck stuck in a patch of snow with out of state plates that completely blocked the road to other traffic. A nice relaxing walk in the forest as it was getting dark. Saw the lights of the cities and then returned. |
