Driving Directions
Start in Hesperia
Ride out of honda valley to platform and down steep ridge trail to intersection of Hwy 173 & Hwy 138, make a left up Hwy 138 to Pilot Rock Road. Make a left off the highway and a quick right & continue straight. A trail to the left turns up at a stream crossing, but go right instead. At a junction a few hundred yards later, take the left branch and follow it up, steep in places, to a signed intersection and take a left. The right turn goes into Grass Valley. The left turn will take you down to Pilot Rock Road 2N33, make a left onto the road, ride past Pilot Rock and down the jeep trail 2N17X to the Silverwood lake Dam, ride back through honda valley or take the highway back to Hesperia.
Cold day, had to keep moving, slow day, wore some downhill pants early on...miserably hot. Nice clear day though.
Notes about this ride report
