Driving Directions
From I-15, Take Hwy 138 to Hwy 2 go past the town of Wrightwood a little ways to Blue Ridge Rd on your left (on the right is a large PCT parking area). Park at this parking area with a National Forest Adventure Pass. Ride across Highway 2 to Blue Ridge Road and start riding up Blue Ridge Road.
Ride Blue Ridge Road about 6 miles to Guffy Campground. If you continue on, the road ends at the far side of Wright Mountain. Wright Mountain is the two large debris flow scars on it, the Heath Creek scar and the larger Sheep Creek Scar. The scars are visible from the Wrightwood are and desert below.
A nice fairly easy and relaxing ride through the trees. The date quoted above is a guess from about 6 months later.
Trail Condition
Forest road, good condition. Closed when Mountain High ski resort is opened because the ski lift goes across Blue Ridge Road.
Forest Details
There is a lot of Jeffery Pine out here.
Additional Elevation & Distance Information
The elevations and distances quoted above are for the ride from Hwy 2 to Guffy campground.
