While other pannier designs often incorporate triangular pannier supports, Headland noticed that these designs didn't support the square shape of most panniers on the market, and that square panniers loaded on a rack with triangular side supports resulted in the panniers wrapping around the rack and into the wheel. Like the Utility-X rack, the Utility-X Pannier Rack features a single-point, seat post mounting and an internal storage compartment that's big enough to hold tools or a mini pump.
