DaKine Heli Pack
We won't lie and tell you that we're unbiased about Da Kine's Heli Pack. A few of us own it and love it. With just 600 cubic inches (10 liters) of carrying capacity, it's not the biggest pack on the mountain and it's certainly not the one crammed with the most features, but what the Heli has is just right for the practical and prepared backcountry enthusiast. We like the female-specific molded E-VAP backpanel because it features air channels to enhance cooling between your back and the pack, especially when you're grinding up steep sun-drenched trails high above the treeline. The daisy chain is another nice addition for light climbing, although you may not have enough room for other climbing gear if you're doing technical routes all day.
